We are beginning July, and halfway through 2022!

Crops are in the ground and growing. We made the 1st cutting of hay for the summer. This hay will be used for fed for our steers, along with the non-GMO corn we raise. It’s the time of year that we start thinking about your Thanksgiving meal!

Yes, we think about you & your food all year round, but we have to give special consideration for the Turkeys that will be on your table at this special Holiday gathering. Our Daughter-in-Law is going to be taking over the turkey growing this season. For Thanksgiving turkeys, we ask of you 2 things:

  • 1. If you would like to have our Turkey on your table reserve one now. Message us through Facebook Messenger to reserve!
  • 2. Please send a deposit of $25.00 to Venmo: @rusmenfarms or by dropping off deposit at the farm in a marked envelope i.e.- Turkey & your name

Also looking forward to the fall, we are planting our pumpkin, gourd, and squash seeds for fall décor as well as having our mums for sale too!

We are so excited to partner with Busy B Bakery! We will now be offering baked goods for order & pick up here at the farm. They will be available in our Harvest Hut for pick up.

Speaking of the Harvest Hut – We how have a nice pickup location for your custom by-the-cut orders. The Harvest Hut will have maple syrup & honey for sale from Miller Farms as well on a self-serve basis.

As always you can order our farm fresh eggs!

We continue to work with the local community to build our local food system, which goes deeper than be focal, buy local. When you buy food and goods from your local farmers and businesses, you are building a strong local network of food security. This is needed more than ever now. Which is why here on the farm we are always planning far ahead so we can have food available in the off seasons for our community.

We can’t wait to see how quickly the turkeys grow. And don’t forget to reserve your beef or hog for the winter!
